We stayed here for the week before we could move into our new house. Quiet, cozy, super clean and pet friendly...with fun western decor and great breakfasts. We appreciated Carolyn's advice on restaurants, pet care and so many things new to the area needs we had. This will be our overflow go to place for our visitors.

We occasionally travel to Arizona for family events. Have visited Flagstaff which was very pretty but usually spent time in Phoenix and found it to be less than beautiful. While we enjoyed seeing family, the area had very little that appealed to us. This trip however, we saw a whole new side to Arizona in Cave Creek while in town for a wedding. The town and surrounding areas offered some lovely views and a completely different feel than the big city of Phoenix. The Spur Cross is not the typical Victorian B&B (thank goodness) but fits in perfectly with it's surroundings and is the perfect place to stay in this charming town. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Carolyn is a wonderful hostess and made us feel so welcome. What a great little town, we love this B&B and would recommend it highly. Because of our wonderful experience here, we have decided that we'd love to visit this part of Arizona again even without a specific event drawing us here, we were sad to leave! Thanks Carolyn!

We just spent two nights at Spur Cross and found it clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The location is convenient and the views of the desert are amazing. We would stay there again if in need of accommodations in that area.

Delightful place - room a bit smaller than I had expected but met our needs nicely. We were to have a cot added but I could not figure out how on earth it would fit so did not ask for it and made due with the one bed. Nice view. Please fix those boards out front - I did take a tumble - was not hurt at all and did not mention it but they need attention! We finally went to CVS and bought a flashlight for safety. Breakfast was nice. The new puppy was entertaining but might now have been appreciated by some guests if they were not dog fans. We will be returning to the area next year and I expect that we will re-book if we can get a similar rate for a larger room. All in all, I would strongly recommend this quirky place - it is close to town and yet you feel that you are out in the hills. It is a comfortable home away from home - especially if you are staying for several days.

We Reserved specific room for a visiting guest. Room was not available upon arrival, & was put into an lesser room with less amenities. Put into another room that wasn't totally cleaned. Vacuum & cleaning materials still in room.Was told guest would be moved to the correct "reserved" room the next day. Didn't happen, despite leaving messages (via phone, email & in person). Would not provide bill to us until paid verbal amount. Asked for bill, to see if there was a price adjustment for not receiving the better room. Wouldn't show bill to us. Mailed an estimated amount via US Mail. They claimed they didn't receive it, so I paid $50 to place Stop payment. Then they asked me to bring a check & leave under flower pot. Still no bill to review. They didn't find the flower pot ck, so wanted another! The don't answer their phone, nor return calls, don't return emails either. Frequently no one on premises. Place used to be spectacular, new owners have run into ground.

I just returned from a 5 day stay. Carolyn and her son Carl are wonderful. I was traveling alone house hunting.They were extremely helpful with all my questions. I felt very safe. The patios are beautiful and the horses and donkeys are delightful. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting AZ. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast is delicious. I miss Carolyn already!
